NRS Brand Video

The UK government’s nuclear decommissioning division is now called Nuclear Restoration Services, and the new NRS brand needed to inspire positive feelings among internal and external stakeholders. As part of the launch campaign, we created the ‘For All Our Futures’ video which aims to shine a positive light on the organisation.

The challenge NRS faced was needing to inspire people to believe in a sustainable and valuable legacy for the UK’s decommissioned sites. We came up with a video concept to blend the reality of a nuclear site, Wylfa, with the possibility of what it could look like in the future. With a little help from me and my paintbrushes.

Behind the scenes

To create a connection with the audience, we knew we had to make a big impact. A few weeks prior to the shoot, we completed a recce in the surrounding area of the Wylfa site, ensuring we had the perfect spot for filming. Once this was chosen, I painted a test run of the proposed scene. This gave me a good indicator of how long I would need on the day to complete it, before we started to lose the light (approx. 7 hours). On a sunny Saturday in September 2023, we filmed the entire video in one sitting.

The video has been shared on social platforms, linked in the brand launch press release and used in face-to-face presentations. One happy client. One great result!
